Azikiwe Aboagye

My name is Azikiwe Aboagye. I'm from Brookyn NY and I am a real life documentarian. At this point you are probably wondering what a real life documentarian is and why I call myself one. Well honestly I took on this phrase because I felt it clearly described my goal as a photographer, to document real life or as what I consider to be reality. See I am a late bloomer, words and self expression have never really been my strong suit. So in my final years of undergrad I took a black and white film class and that changed my life. I found a new way to express myself and to connect with the world around me. That class was 10 years ago, since then I've received an MFA in photography, traveled to countless cities and countries, made friends all over the globe, and learned a whole lot about myself and my photographic process.
